The deadline for the new regulations for dump trucks is coming!

As of September 1st 2020, the regulation will be in effect.

 

As of September 1, 2020, all heavy vehicles and combinations of vehicles whose combined gross vehicle weight totals 4,500 kg or more (for example, a pickup truck hauling a raised dumpers) and whose dump body exceeds 4.15 m in the raised position must be fitted with an audible warning and an indicator light which activate automatically when the dumper is not completely lowered.

 

On September 1, 2020, if the affected vehicles are not equipped with the device, or if it is defective, the owner or operator is liable to a penalty of $ 350 to $ 1,050, plus costs.

  • Should the alarm stop after 2 seconds and then reactivate at 20 km/h?
