It is electronically designed for cold weather operation.

This laser is coupled to a special heat source for the exit window to reduce or eliminate ice build-up on the front of the laser output lens. The GL3000PMC also has a unique pneumatic snow removal system incorporated with the laser housing that automatically fires a blast of air at the front of the laser lens every 5 seconds. This removes snow build-up from the laser output lens.

The laser guidance system cuts damage caused by plow strikes by 80 to 100% and the high cost associated with it.

First of all, what is an on-board scale system?

An on-board scale is actually a load control device that can calculate the weight of material transported using a wheel loader (or other equipment). This makes it possible to know the quantity of actual material transported.

The installation of an on-board scale makes it possible to carry out optimized loadings by carrying out a simple and effective weighing on the spot. This allows to avoid overloads or unused capacity.

The accuracy of an on-board scale has a direct impact on its efficiency. An improperly calibrated scale can cause a lot of problems! 

Here is why it is important to calibrate your on-board scale once a year: 

• To ensure that the components of the system are in good condition. Note that a damaged part can affect accuracy. 
• Because the truck scale (weighbridge) is calibrated every year. This therefore makes it possible to synchronize the precision of the on-board scale with the weighbridge. Note that it is calibrated according to Canadian weight and measurement standards.
• Because a improperly calibrated scale (whatever the reason) is very expensive for a company! A deviation of 0.5% of accuracy can lead to huge losses.
• The working environment (cold / hot / humidity / snow) affects the performance of the system over time.
• When a hydraulic component of the system is replaced (maintenance and / or repair), a new calibration of the system is required.

Amendment to the Safety Code for Construction works

The CNESST recently made an amendment to the Safety Code for Construction Work (decree 483-2021). This amendment addresses the regulations for electricity, scaffolding, working near a power line, and portable tools.

In this document we learn that operators now have an obligation to receive training on the operation of the range limiting device.

5.2.2 An employer who proposes to perform work for which a part, load, scaffolding, piece of machinery or person is likely to approach a power line within the minimum approach distance specified at Article 5.2.1 may carry out this work if it meets all the conditions set out in one of the following paragraphs:
